Our Fishing Charter Services
If the thought of getting your hands smelly and dirty or having to take your fish off the hook and deal with them puts you off going fishing, think again. The crew will do all that for you and more, and even fillet your catch so it’s ready for the pan by the time you get back home. It’s all part of the service. We cater for both the experienced and not so experienced, providing any necessary assistance during your day on the briney.
At Catch Charters, our aim is to help you catch more fish!
Your Skipper and Crew
Owner operator Mike Hanham is a qualified skipper who has been on boats and fishing the New Zealand coastline for most of his life. He is passionate about fishing and diving and runs a friendly efficient operation. Mike is assisted by his partner Debbie who also has extensive fishing experience. Mike and Debbie will make you feel welcome.

The Fishing Equipment
Catch Charters provides the use of quality fishing equipment or if you prefer, you are welcome to use your own fishing gear. Terminal tackle is also of an equally high standard ensuring that you have less chance of a valuable fish escaping through failure. Salt ice is carried on extended trips to ensure your catch stays fresh. A variety of baits consisting of bonito, pilchard, squid, sanma and mackerel is used and good quality berley.
Safety Management
Your safety is of utmost importance so the latest safety equipment is carried and the boat is operated under Safe Ship Management Survey by a fully qualified skipper. Surveyed to carry a maximum of nine passengers and one crew.
